SSA 27 Keeping Lakeview Clean and Green

Did you know that through a contract with Cleanslate, our street team removes litter from our streets and empties the 80 garbage and recycling receptacles that we maintain on Lakeview sidewalks? From June through August, this service is provided six days per week to keep up with heavier summer pedestrian traffic.

We also maintain 93 planters and three plant beds in Lakeview through a contract with Christy Webber Landscapes. This year we updated our landscaping plans to include more efficient and sustainable perennial and native plants in order to reduce waste, enabling us to expand our scope of services to include tree care within the same budget. We’ve planted six new street trees so far this year and have begun mulching tree pits and pruning trees.
