One of the Southport Corridor’s favorite fall traditions is back.

Trick or Treat on Southport returns Monday, October 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., bringing an afternoon of costumes, candy and family-friendly Halloween activities to Southport Avenue between Roscoe Street and Grace Street. The free neighborhood event is produced by Friends of Lakeview and will take place rain or shine.
The annual celebration turns the Southport Corridor into a Halloween destination for families, with local businesses welcoming trick-or-treaters throughout the neighborhood.
Halloween Fun Along Southport
In addition to trick-or-treating at participating Southport businesses while supplies last, this year’s event is expected to include arts and crafts, games, music, photo opportunities and inflatables.
A pumpkin patch will return near Southport and Waveland outside Coalfire Pizza, provided by Lakeview SSA 27. Inflatables are planned from Lakeshore Sport & Fitness and Altitude Roscoe Village, and a costumed princess from Princess Party by MC will be available for photos.
And it isn’t just for the kids. Adults will be able to enjoy craft beer from Corridor Brewery and wines curated by Galleria Liquors while walking the event.

“Thriller” Returns to Southport
One of the evening’s highlights will happen at 5 p.m. near Southport and Cornelia, where dancers from Gus Giordano Dance School are scheduled to perform the iconic “Thriller” routine, along with a GUS Company flash mob.
The performance is free and open to all ages.
More 2026 Details Coming
The Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce says additional details about participating businesses, street activities and special offers for the 2026 event will be announced closer to October.
In previous years, dozens of Southport businesses, restaurants, schools and neighborhood organizations have joined the festivities with everything from crafts and games to giveaways, food specials and, of course, plenty of candy.
The Chamber’s current event page notes that its detailed business-by-business activity list is still from 2025, with the full 2026 lineup yet to be posted.
