The former Hanna Andersson space is getting a new tenant – Dr. Martens.
“Dr. Martens, also commonly known as Doc Martens, Docs or DMs[1] is a British footwear and clothing brand, headquartered in Wollaston in the Wellingborough district of Northamptonshire, England. Whilst famous for their footwear, they also make a range of accessories – shoe care products, clothing, bags, etc. Their footwear is distinguished by its air-cushioned sole (dubbed Bouncing Soles), upper shape, welted construction and yellow stitching.”
Construction has started and we’d expect the new shop to open late the spring into early summer.

- Look for more national retail to join Dr. Martens at the former DavidsTea and Basics Salon sites soon.
- Susie Cakes, once slated to open at 3542 N. Southport Avenue is no longer coming due to the Covid-19 Pandemic this past year.
- Lastly, Suvarna which is currently located at 3453 N. Southport (an L3 property) is expanding and moving to The Red Balloon’s former location at 3651 N. Southport Avenue.
