It’s that time of year to dust off the ladders – and hang the lights! A very Southport Corridor Christmas around the neighborhood this year. It’s great to see – especially after a long 20 months of the pandemic.

It is official – the opening date for Sephora Southport Corridor is October 23, 2020 according to their Instagram post. Sephora is also hiring for the new store, and you can see all the job listings here.
Sephora\’s new location is in the former space of Rise and Galleria Liquors at 3401 N. Southport Avenue.
After months of speculation, Sephora will be coming to Southport\’s newest development at 3401 N. Southport Avenue, the former homes of Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors.
3401 N. Southport Avenue is well under construction where Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors once stood. We have known since the beginning that Galleria Liquors was coming back, but Rise Sushi was not. We have confirmed that Sephora is taking the other retail space, and that the lease is finalized. What do you think about Sephora joining the Southport Corridor?
As you may recall, this transit oriented development approved in 2015 will be starting construction in 2018. Planning had started back in 2014, and this new development will reside on what is now Galleria Liquors and Rise Sushi. Galleria Liquors is slated to return to this site, while Rise Sushi is not. You can read more about this development from Tom Tunney’s website.
