As promised, iconic Chicago hot dog stand the Wieners Circle has applied for a liquor license at 2622 N. Clark Street in preparation for its anticipated reopening that will for the first time include a bar.

We took a little time away from social media, but are back and excited to tell you more about our renovation. We will reopen by the end of September with lots of fun new surprises, and look forward to seeing y’all

The famous stand temporarily closed on January 1 for “renovations” that have turned into a full demolition, but news of the application should hearten the venue’s many fans. Ownership didn’t return a request for comment per Chicago Eater.
The stand’s charm has always been the employees’ vulgar antics and insults that keep the regulars coming back. Although Wiener’s Circle has been experimenting with take-out gimmicks and delivery options, the stand is looking forward to returning to some level of normalcy.
The addition of the patio and bar will bring a new ambiance to the famous Lincoln Park hot dog stand. Along with the external renovation, the establishment is having pipes and windows replaced as well, per longtime manager Evelyn Morris.
The Chicago staple’s reopening will be a welcomed sight for Chicagoans. Nature will feel as if it’s feeling when the Weiner’s Circle staff are roasting customers and cooking hot dogs again.
