After nearly a decade of planning, the Culver’s restaurant in Wrigleyville is set to open next month. Culver’s had been eyeing an expansion into this area since 2014, and the restaurant, located across from Wrigley Field at 1111 W. Addison St., could open its doors as early as October 9th, according to franchise owner Baron Waller.

A prominent Culver’s sign has recently been installed outside the establishment, and Waller expressed his excitement about the imminent opening. While most of the restaurant’s staff has already been hired, Culver’s is still conducting drop-in job interviews for those interested in applying.

Situated in a four-story building that replaced a former Taco Bell, this $36 million development also includes a Chase Bank branch, a climbing gym, and a new Taco Bell, as reported by Crain’s. The 3,700-square-foot Culver’s restaurant will feature indoor dining as well as a walk-up window for convenient to-go and pickup orders.

Baron Waller shared his enthusiasm for becoming part of the Wrigleyville community, emphasizing the dedication that has gone into making this expansion a reality.

It’s worth noting that Culver’s had originally planned to open at 3500 N. Clark St. in January 2021, but those plans fell through when they withdrew from a proposal to occupy the first floor of a 47-foot mixed-use building at that location.
