Get ready to spice up your summer—Lakeview Taco Fest 2025 is making its much-anticipated return to Southport Avenue this August 22–24, and it promises to be a fiesta to remember!
Presented by the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, Taco Fest is the neighborhood’s ultimate celebration of Latin flavors, music, and culture. Whether you’re a taco purist, a salsa enthusiast, or just looking for a good time, this event brings all the ingredients for the perfect summer weekend.

📍 Location: Southport Ave between Addison and Roscoe
📅 Dates: Friday, August 22 – Sunday, August 24, 2025
⏰ Hours: 11 AM – 10 PM (Fri & Sat), 11 AM – 9 PM (Sun)
🎟 Admission: Suggested $10 donation at the gate (supports local business programs and community beautification)
🔥 Taco Takeover
You’ll find everything from traditional carne asada to creative fusion flavors at booths hosted by some of Chicago’s best taquerias and local eateries. Each vendor brings their A-game for a shot at the coveted title of “Best Taco”, voted on by fest-goers all weekend long.
Past favorites have included birria tacos dripping in consommé, veggie-packed options for plant-based eaters, and spice-loaded sauces that bring the heat.
🍹 Margaritas & More
What pairs best with tacos? Tequila, of course. Wash it all down at the Margarita & Sangria Tent, or cool off with ice-cold cervezas and non-alcoholic options. Beverages will be available for purchase throughout the fest grounds.
🎶 Live Music & Local Vibes
The fest isn’t just about food—it’s also a jam-packed celebration of Latin music and culture. Two stages will feature live performances from regional and local talent, spanning genres like salsa, cumbia, mariachi, and Latin pop.
