Bake 425 to Replace Homemade Pizza Company on Southport?

According to Crain\’s Chicago Business and Bake 425\’s website, Bake 425 is slated to take over the former Homemade Pizza Company location at 3440 N. Southport this December.  However, Cushman and Wakefield is marketing this new construction building.  We walked passed the current building and saw plenty of blue-prints, so we will see what happens next.

Retail Rumors: Is J. Crew Finally Coming to Southport?

Update the week of January 26: J. Crew is signing their lease this week.

After years of rumors it is almost all but confirmed that J. Crew is coming to 3423-25 N. Southport Avenue.  Construction should start in early 2015 and should take about a year to complete the new construction space.

J. Crew was originally speculated to open in the now EVEREVE location, but the storefront was not large enough for a typical J. Crew store.  It has been reported that they have been looking at Southport \”for years\”.  A formal announcement should happen by the end of the year.

Now onto that West Elm Market rumor that’s been circulating for quite some time now!?!?
