2016’s Low-Line Market on Southport kicked off again on June 2, and will run through early October. The weather was perfect for opening day! Detailed information on Southport’s Low-Line Market can be found here.
Lakeview’s premier farmers market kicks off its fourth season this evening, Thursday, June 2nd from 3-8 pm, at the Southport CTA station.
The Low-Line Market is a conveniently located and carefully curated farmers market, with the goal of creating an experience where neighbors can meet and gather while having greater access to a collection of high-quality produce, proteins, flowers and artisanal foods from local farms and vendors. By providing an increased availability of local food sources within walking distance of a high traffic, residential area, the Low-Line Market aims to contribute to an increase in sustainability within our community.
The 2016 season is presented by Whole Foods Market and L3 Capital, with additional support from DNAinfo Chicago. For a complete list of vendors, visit lowlinemarket.com.

This week, they will represent the full range of foodstuffs you will see throughout the season, and in following weeks, you will find them represented in rotation by a small selection of their fine kitchen users. Both will be showcased in the Lakeview Kitchen and Market booth this year, alongside the delectable creations of their colleagues! Note that this list is subject to change.

Welcome to the fourth season of the Low-Line Market! We are thrilled to be opening this season with a ribbon-cutting at 4 pm, and a special commemorative tote bag from Whole Foods Market – the best one yet! – and free with purchase from one of our wonderful vendors! The tote bag is available while supplies last.
We will be open Thursdays, from 3 to 8 pm, rain or shine, underneath the Southport CTA Brown Line station, and look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors throughout the season.
