Wrigley BBQ is now closed

Smoked meat spot Wrigley BBQ closed permanently this month at 3555 N. Broadway, owner and pitmaster Mitch Liebovich announced on the restaurant’s website.

Founded in 2017, it featured brisket, ribs, wings, pulled pork, and smoked chicken. Liebovich writes online that he plans to move the entire operation to Palm Springs, Florida.

Kris Bryant not on revenge mission when he returns to Wrigley: ‘It’s double circled on my calendar’

Kris Bryant wishes he could play the Cubs sooner than Sept. 10-12 at Wrigley Field.

“It’s double circled on my calendar,” Bryant said last Friday while wearing bright orange shoes as part of his new San Francisco Giants attire. “I’m super excited about that and looking forward to that. It will be weird coming to bat from the other side and go to the visiting side.”

Report: NFL Proposes Making COVID-19 Vaccinations Mandatory for All Players

Report: NFL proposes COVID-19 vaccine mandate for players, NFLPA balks originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

On Thursday the NFL reportedly proposed making coronavirus vaccinations mandatory for all players as it attempts to curb the spread of the virus ahead of the start of the regular season. The NFLPA, however, did not agree to the request, according to the league.

Located along N Ashland Avenue, the site is bordered by alleyways to the south and east. Zia’s Lago Vista currently occupies the site, which is for sale by the owner. Mavrek Development is the developer behind the proposal.

Dead & Company will return to Wrigley Field September 17 and 18, 2021

Tickets are on sale now.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there will be concerts at Wrigley Field which will impact parking and cause street closures all week. Sheffield, from Addison to Waveland, and Waveland, from Sheffield to Kenmore, will be closed entirely beginning next Monday, Sept. 13th at 6am through Sunday, September 19th at 6pm. Additional parking restrictions will be in effect from 2pm through midnight each concert night. Guns N’ Roses will be playing on Thursday and Dead & Company will play on Friday and Saturday.

Is Southport Fitness leaving?

Real estate gets shopped around a lot, and it’s not 100% a sign that a retailer is leaving (i.e., FedEx a few years back).

However, it’s never a good sign when real estate listings show a prominent property for lease. The latest space now being marketed is Southport Fitness at 3415 N. Southport Avenue.
