Grand Opening of Mini Wonder Kids’ Boutique on Southport Corridor Set for September 30

Mini Wonder, a boutique catering exclusively to babies and toddlers, is all set to open its doors on September 30th according to Block Club Chicago. Owned by Ali Reff, the visionary behind the successful Alice & Wonder women’s boutique, this new addition to the block promises to be a haven for parents and their little ones.

Located at 3527 N. Southport Ave., Mini Wonder marks Ali Reff’s third foray into the retail world. Following the footsteps of its parent store, Alice & Wonder, which can be found just down the street at 3542 N. Southport Ave., Mini Wonder aims to create a nurturing space that fosters the creativity and curiosity inherent in every “mini” person.

As the mother of three children under the age of 3, Ali Reff understands the fleeting nature of this precious stage of life. She expressed her motivation behind Mini Wonder in an Instagram post, stating, “I know first-hand this mini stage goes too fast, and my hope is this shop will help you and your loved ones enjoy every second.” Mini Wonder’s selection draws inspiration from the types of gifts Reff received at her baby shower and the items she purchased for her friends’ kids.

The boutique will offer a range of items specially designed in-house for babies and toddlers. Notably, it will feature a collection of Chicago-themed clothing, showcasing the city’s spirit. Moreover, Mini Wonder is equipped with a photo booth, available for a fee or complimentary access for customers who spend at least $75.

Ali Reff’s vision for Mini Wonder extends beyond just retail. She plans to host kid-friendly events, commencing with a grand opening party on September 30th. During this event, local artist Kaitlyn Dornbier will be on hand to create family fashion illustrations.

Ali Reff’s journey into entrepreneurship began when she left her corporate public relations job and embarked on her dream of owning a boutique. In 2015, she started Alice & Wonder from her bedroom, initially offering just 13 items. Since those humble beginnings, the brand has flourished, with additional stores located at 956 W. Webster Ave. in Lincoln Park and along Lakeview’s Southport Avenue.

With the opening of Mini Wonder, Ali Reff continues to inspire and cater to the unique needs of parents and their little ones, fostering a sense of wonder and creativity in the Southport Corridor community.
