In a heart-wrenching announcement, we share the somber news that our cherished friend, Fuji, known fondly as Southport Golden, has peacefully crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
Affectionately known as Southport Golden, Fuji earned the title of the official Golden Retriever mascot of the Southport Corridor in Chicago. Strolling up and down the street, not a day passed without someone exclaiming, “Is that Southport Golden?”
She was a familiar and beloved presence, with an innate knowledge of all the prime spots for doggie treats, especially her favorite haunt, Crosby’s Kitchen.
Rest in peace, dear Fuji-Girl. You will forever hold a special place in the Southport Corridor.
