Blue Bayou Reopens on Southport Avenue, With New Menu and Revamped Space

Blue Bayou officially reopened its doors last weekend at 3475 N. Southport Ave., bringing its signature Southern-inspired cuisine back to the Lakeview neighborhood. The restaurant had been closed for renovations for several months, during which the space underwent a redesign to enhance the dining experience. Prior to the renovations, Blue Bayou had sat empty for over 14 years.

Guests can now enjoy a refreshed menu featuring both classic dishes and new creations. Highlights include shrimp and grits, jambalaya, and a selection of craft cocktails inspired by New Orleans traditions. The revamped space boasts modern decor while maintaining its warm, inviting atmosphere.
