The holiday season in Chicago just got a little brighter—Christkindlmarket is set to return to Wrigleyville this winter.
After taking a pause last year to make room for the NHL Winter Classic, the beloved German-inspired market will once again transform Gallagher Way into a festive holiday village. The Wrigleyville edition will run from November 23 through December 31, 2025, bringing back its signature mix of shopping, food, and family-friendly cheer.
Visitors can expect dozens of local and international vendors offering handcrafted ornaments, unique gifts, and seasonal treats. Traditional favorites such as bratwurst, roasted nuts, and steaming mugs of glühwein will be back on the menu, alongside hot chocolate served in the market’s collectible souvenir mugs.

The market will also feature an ice-skating rink, a towering Christmas tree, and special programming throughout the season. Hours will vary by day, with extended evening options on weekends and adjusted hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. The market will be closed on Christmas Day.
Christkindlmarket has been a Chicago tradition since 1996, with its flagship location at Daley Plaza downtown and a suburban outpost in Aurora. Wrigleyville’s Gallagher Way location, introduced in 2017, has become a popular addition—especially for families on the North Side looking for a dose of holiday magic closer to home.
With the return of the Wrigleyville market, Chicagoans will once again be able to enjoy one of the city’s most cherished holiday traditions in three different locations across the region.
