Is Southport about to lose another small business?  Wildwood Photography\’s space, located at 3726 N. Southport Avenue appeared on the retail space listings this past week.  According to the listing:

Lakeview to Pass Out Flowers to Moms in Celebration of Mother’s Day, Mural’s Completion
CHICAGO (April 29, 2019) – Bright, beautiful Chrysanthemums, roses and Echinacea are in full bloom along the Southport Corridor thanks to a brand new, 2,000 square foot mural by Detroit-based artist Louise Jones, also known as Ouizi. In the Lakeview mural, Ouizi draws inspiration from the Japanese art movement ukiyo-e and traditional Chinese painting style guóhuà to illustrate a floral history of Chicago.

Chicago’s Southport Corridor Ouizi Mural

The CVS North of Addison on Southport has received an amazing extreme makeover mural from Louise “Ouizi” Jones this spring.

From Lakeview Patch:

Two blossoming murals are set to go up in Chicago’s Lake View and West Town neighborhoods just in time for spring. Created by Detroit-based artist Louise “Ouizi” Jones, the murals will be painted at 1914 W. Chicago Avenue in West Town and 3637 N. Southport Ave in Lakeview, with both pieces set to be complete by May.

Southport & Irving (SIP) space for lease

Southport & Irving, better known as SIP is currently for lease. According to the marketing description:

“Southport Corridor Corner Restaurant and Bar. Fully built-out restaurant space with outdoor component. Corner location. Southport and Irving \”SIP\” is located in Chicago\’s Lakeview neighborhood and a part of the City\’s well know Southport Corridor. Klein True Value Southport Corridor space for lease

After years of downsizing, it looks like we may be losing Southport\’s Klein True Value at 3737 N. Southport Avenue according to this listing.
