Southport Lanes closed for good last Fall, and for the past year, the site has been listed for lease. Recently, Mid-America Real Estate had the site active for lease, but has recently taken it down.
In the SoPo rumor-ville, the building could be leased (or in the process of being leased) by The Boka Restaurant Group as a new restaurant.
It was originally marketed “Fully fixtured with renovated ground floor” but we know the entire interior has been demolished, including the floors.
On myelisting.com, it currently reads, “Located on the Northeast corner of North Southport Avenue & West Henderson Street. Space is conveniently located one block south of the Southport Brown Line ‘L’ stop (1.12M annual riders) and features a hard corner dominant presence at the gateway to dynamic Southport Corridor.”
