Two people have been charged in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Officer Ella French who was killed during a traffic stop in West Englewood Saturday night. Her partner remains in the hospital after being shot.

A new development has been approved at 3179 N. Clark Street called Lakeview Connection. This is currently the site of Fifth Third Bank’s drive through, and will include a smaller version of the branch, with several more retail spaces available.
A grocery store tenant has taken the second floor, and the rumor is that it will be Amazon Fresh.
Beermiscuous Lakeview, a Craft beer bar & bottle shop at 2812 N Lincoln Avenue is now requiring patrons to be fully vaccinated for indoor dining.
In a message on their social media accounts, the establishment wrote:
“We have unanimously decided as a staff to require proof of vaccination for all indoor dining, effective today. This decision was made for the sake of our guests’ safety as well as our own. We will check for vaccination status as we check IDs. Thanks for sticking with us, cheers.”

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks unanimously voted Thursday to approve the Cubs‘ plans to build a two-story sportsbook adjacent to Wrigley Field.

The addition will take at least a year to build, sources told ESPN. It will be open to the public before, during and after games, and while fans will be able to enter Wrigley Field from inside the sportsbook, they won’t be required to be attending the game to make bets inside.
