Warby Parker now hiring for their new Southport Avenue shop in Chicago

You may recall that Warby Parker had rented space on the Southport Corridor earlier this summer, and now they are looking to hire for a number of positions:

This would make the 4th Optician shop on the Southport Corridor, including LensCrafters, CustomEyes and Big City Optical. Do you think the Southport Corridor can support four optician shops?

Southport Corridor changes into 2019

Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident, one thing is for certain: nothing is permanent except change. So if you can’t keep up with all of the changes happening to Chicago’s Southport Corridor, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.Here is a summary of what to expect into 2019:

  1. TOD development at 3200 N. Southport under construction (Former Flattop Grill space)
  2. TOD development under construction at 3647 N. Southport
  3. TOD development coming to 3401 N. Southport
  4. The Denim Lounge for Men is now open at SheOne\’s former location
  5. Foxtrot Delivery Market is now open at 3334 N. Southport Avenue
  6. Warby Parker is coming to 3432 N. Southport
  7. Hux Hemp is now open at 3714 N. Southport
  8. Condos coming to 3150 N. Southport, Byline Bank location to move during construction
  9. Large-scale mixed-use development coming to 1356 W. Wellington Avenue 
  10. Big City Optical has moved into the former Frankies on the Park location at 3708 N. Southport
  11. 3740 N. Southport (Formerly Chaz\’s Real Estate Space) is now a nail salon
  12. GNC is closed and StretchLab is coming
  13. Taco Bell on Addison will be replaced by Planet Granite and additional retail
  14. Ivivva by Lululemon is closed. Space currently for lease
  15. The auto body shop on Addison by Wrigley Field will be replaced by a new development
  16. 1035 W. Addison to be redeveloped 
  17. The former Blue Bayou space is for lease
  18. Basics Salon at 3542 N. Southport is currently for lease or for for a possible TOD redevelopment in 2019-2020
  19. Addison & Clark development is underway; Shake Shack, Cinemex Movie Theater, Harley Davidson and Lucky Strike will be anchor tenants
  20. Cafe Tola is expanding into the Sweet Sensations former space
  21. And please, someone do something with this building!!!!
