Local neighbors have put together a safety walk this Sunday, January 2, 2022 from noon – 2PM that will start at Wrigley Field.

“We will be starting the walk at Addison and Clark, then heading to Halsted, down to Belmont, over to Southport, and then back up to Wrigley. The walk is intended as a peaceful way for the community to come together and express the incredibly deep concern about the rise in crime and violence in the neighborhood.”
“We welcome everyone and hope to see folks there this Sunday.”
Lori Lightfoot has requested that U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland send more federal resources to Chicago to help combat the out of control crime and gun violence:

Two Chicago men are recovering after what they said was a road rage shooting in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood near Southport and Addison. He is now moving out of Chicago.
