Southport’s Holiday Stroll details for Friday, December 3, 2021

The Southport Holiday Stroll & Cocktail Crawl on Friday, Dec. 3 from 5-9pm at businesses along Southport Avenue from Belmont to Irving Park Road!

Enjoy holiday shopping at local businesses, special discounts, carolers, Santa, holiday-themed cocktails and more festivities!

The Southport Holiday Stroll is free to attend, and you can purchase a ticket for the Cocktail Crawl to taste 10 holiday-themed cocktails along one of two routes while you enjoy the festivities of the stroll!

It’s Back!

From the Lakeview / Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, the tradition is back after skipping 2020 due to Covid-19.

“Trick or Treat on Southport is a free annual community event featuring family-friendly activities, a pumpkin patch, pet parade and trick or treating at local businesses. Enjoy food trucks and a beverage tent featuring beer from Corridor Brewery.

All children under 12 and those who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask at this event.”

“Fire up the grills for the Midwest’s best Patty Party! At least a dozen Chicago eateries will be partners in the tasty annual happening when Sam Adams Roscoe Village Burger Fest returns for a mouth-watering weekend this September.

Have you seen the Lakeview Master Plan? Is it time for the proposed CVS extreme makeover?

The Lakeview Master Plan was created in 2011, and out of it we have been lucky enough to get great things like the Low Line Market, People Spots and the upcoming Lincoln/Southport and Wellington corner improvements (just to name a few). CVS was specifically listed as a candidate for a makeover (and every time it rains, the roof leaks and there are buckets all over the store to collect the water, so something has to get fixed).

What are your thoughts? Is it time for a CVS extreme makeover?
