Trick or Treat Southport 2021 is Monday, October 25

It’s Back!

From the Lakeview / Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, the tradition is back after skipping 2020 due to Covid-19.

“Trick or Treat on Southport is a free annual community event featuring family-friendly activities, a pumpkin patch, pet parade and trick or treating at local businesses. Enjoy food trucks and a beverage tent featuring beer from Corridor Brewery.

All children under 12 and those who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask at this event.”

Sharing sites with the existing Immaculata High School, the 22-story building will rise in front of Lake Shore Drive and offer residents unobstructed views of the lake. The project is being developed by KGiles LLC and CA Ventures and designed by Perkins Eastman with Level Architecture.

Sam Adam’s Lakeview Taco Fest returns this weekend

The Lakeview Taco Fest returns this weekend featuring gourmet and classic tacos from more than a dozen local eateries.

The Taco Fest runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, taking over the Southport Corridor from Addison to Roscoe streets.

Former Chicago Cubs pitchers Craig Kimbrel, Brandon Morrow and Wade Davis and 1445 W Wolfram Street, Chicago (Google Maps, Wikipedia and Wade Davis)

Baseball players are famously superstitious so perhaps this particular Lakeview home held magic mojo for Wade Davis, Brandon Morrow and Craig Kimbrel when they played for the Cubs. All three pitchers rented the home, in succession.
