CALL FOR WALLS: Help Bring New Public Art to the Community

Since 2017, the Lakeview Public Art Committee has worked to identify innovative artists and secure funding to support the display of public works of art in highly-visible locations. For every new mural we bring to the community, there are countless hours spent reaching out to property owners getting permission to install a mural on their building walls. Over 16 murals and exhibits have been installed to date, and now, we need your help.

The Lakeview Public Art Committee is calling on all landlords, tenants, neighborhood groups and business owners to submit ideas for highly-visible walls to host new pieces of public art in 2022 and beyond. If you own a building or know someone who owns a building in Lakeview or Roscoe Village that would like to feature a new mural, please get in touch with Nicole McLellan at Nicole@lrvcc.org or call 773 472 7171 x102 to provide more details and discuss feasibility of a new piece of public art.
For more information on the Lakeview Public Art Committee and public art in our communities, visit www.lakeviewroscoevillage.org/public-art-program or contact Nicole@lrvcc.org with any questions.

The goal is to have the restaurant open by the start of the 2022 Chicago Cubs season

According to Chicago Business Journal, “A Culver’s franchisee said he is close to signing a long-term lease to open a new location near Wrigley Field.” Culver’s was originally supposed to set up shop at 3500 N. Clark street back in 2014, but the deal fell through.
