A Sneak Peek of Ella Elli Southport Corridor

February seemed like June this year, and Ella Elli’s grand opening is just around the corner with all their windows open. Here is a peek inside the new gorgeous space. Opening date is March 7, and here is a link to their menu.

Ella Elli’s New Menu

Construction is moving full-steam ahead for Crosby’s Kitchen’s newest restaurant in the Southport Corridor and opening date will be March 7. However unlike Crosby’s, it won’t be catering to children (so, basically no chicken fingers or hot dogs will be found on their menu).

Per Eater Chicago,

“One thing that we hear more often than not, especially at Crosby’s, is people will say ‘oh I don’t go there until after 8 o’clock, I don’t want to be there with a lot of kids there,’” Dunlay, 4 Star’s co-founder, said. “That’s why we’re opening Elli, it’s more of an adult restaurant, if you will. It’s still going to have the same great service and great food, but it’s just not going to be geared as much toward family.”

Tuco & Blondie’s Restaurant Rendering

Construction is chugging along this summer, and we have now seen our first rendering of Tuco & Blondie, 4-Star Restaurant Group\’s upcoming Tex-Mex concept that has replaced Justin’s Bar & Grill.

Construction has started at Ella Elli – 4-Star Restaurant Group’s latest Southport Corridor restaurant

As you recall, 4-Star Restaurant Group, owners of Crosby’s Kitchen are opening a new restaurant in the former Wrigleyville Dental space called Ella Elli.

Construction has now started in the building behind Crosby’s Kitchen, and 4-Star is looking to open an adult restaurant and full bar with French and Italian cuisine in early 2017.

Major Construction: 4-Star Restaurant’s Tex-Mex Restaurant on the Southport Corridor

Major construction is underway at the former Justin’s Bar and Grill site. 4-Star Restaurant Group’s new Tex-Mex concept construction is underway, with full and open windows in the front and side. Enhancements include expanding the space into the patio area and a complete gut of all three floors. Scroll down to see the rendering from the original lease brochure.

Tex-Mex and Italian/French will be 4-Star’s Newest Southport Restaurants

4-Star Restaurant Group, parent company of Crosby’s Kitchen, Smoke Daddy, Frasca’s Pizzeria and D.O.C. Wine Bar (and others) is expanding in Chicago’s Southport Corridor, and here is the latest update:

Justin’s Space. The former Justin\’s Bar & Grill space is currently gutted, and 4-Star is hoping to get in there shortly to start the construction process. The space will feature full windows from the rendering below, along with an expanded kitchen area. The name should be announced soon, and they are looking to open by fall. It will be a Tex-Mex themed restaurant along with brunch on the weekends, killer margaritas and a full tequila bar. They will be keeping the outdoor area, albeit a bit smaller.
Wrigleyville Dental Space The building behind Crosby\’s Kitchen will be re-developed and is planning to open in 2017 as an adult restaurant and full bar with French and Italian cuisine. The name of the new restaurant will be Ella Elli, and will be open for dinner only.

Timings are all dependent on the permit processing from the City of Chicago for both restaurants (Justin\’s former space is currently undergoing the permitting process). More information can be found here from DNA Info Chicago.

4-Star Restaurant Group’s Expansion Plans for the Southport Corridor

4-Star Restaurant Group, parent company of Crosby’s Kitchen, Smoke Daddy, Frasca’s Pizzeria and D.O.C. Wine Bar (and others) is expanding in Chicago’s Southport Corridor, and here is the scoop:

Wrigleyville Dental Space The building behind Crosby’s Kitchen will be developed and will open in early 2017 as an adult restaurant and full bar. The name of the new restaurant will be Ella Elli (and not Three Sisters).

Justin’s Space. The former Justin’s Bar & Grill space is currently gutted (take a peek when you walk by), and 4-Star is hoping to get in there this month to start the process. There is no name as of yet for the new space, but they are looking to have it open by fall of 2016. Per 4-Star, “It will be a very comfortable family style restaurant (similar to Crosby’s Kitchen, but different food).”
