Longtime UPS Store on Southport Now Marketed for Lease; Store Moving to 3302 N. Lincoln Avenue Fall 2025

A retail mainstay in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood appears to be on its way out. The UPS Store at 3501 N. Southport Ave, which has served local residents and businesses for years, is now being marketed for lease. According to a current listing on LoopNet, the 1,250-square-foot storefront will be available for occupancy beginning October 15, 2025.

The property, located on the prominent corner of Southport and Cornelia, sits in the heart of the busy Southport Corridor. The listing indicates that the space is being targeted toward national retail tenants, in keeping with the area’s roster of well-known chain stores and established brands. The Southport Corridor is home to retailers such as J.Crew, Lululemon, Anthropologie, and Sephora.

The area is recognized for its high foot traffic and convenient access to public transportation, with the Southport Brown Line CTA station nearby. Demographic data highlighted in the listing points to an affluent customer base, with average household incomes exceeding $200,000 within a short walk of the site.

Lease terms are negotiable, with a triple-net (NNN) structure. Colliers is handling the listing, with further details available from Hunter Cannon (hunter.cannon@colliers.com).

  1. The UPS Store is NOT closing. We are relocating to 3302 N Lincoln in the fall of this year. Southport rent increase forced our hand. We absolutely loved being at this location for 20 years and are looking forward to a brand new store in another great location. We will continue to provide the same service our customers depend on. We thank our neighbors for 20 years of support and look forward to meeting our new neighbors. Thankfully it’s the same chamber of commerce.
