Lululemon Southport Corridor has been under renovation for several weeks, and has temporarily moved to Roscoe and Southport during the remodel. The new store now has a new front facade, and the interior has been completely remodeled to look like Lulu’s other newer stores, such as their Chicago flagship store on Rush Street.
Expect the remodeled store to have an interior similar to their newer stores:

After 13 WONDERFUL years in this amazing corner space, it is time to change with the changes. I am consolidating and moving into the space next door, so I can focus on more creative, detail oriented, exciting stuff I have been wanting to do. So, I need to sell off as much as we can to actually FIT into the smaller space! Yes, there will be some changes, some the same, but this M2 staff plans to always be your GO TO SHOP! (at M2 Boutique)

Splendid LA is leaving Chicago’s Southport Corridor on March 24, and retailer Johnny Was, is moving in.
“Just like the universal and timeless appeal of a great song, Johnny Was designs clothes that cross cultures and defy trends. With a bohemian spirit and a true sense of authenticity, we take our inspiration from anything that is beautiful, genuine and special—a striking piece of artwork, the luxurious hand-stitching on a vintage dress or the natural simplicity of a vibrant bougainvillea.
Our signature embroideries and effortless silhouettes are unparalleled. After more than 30 years of our artisan-inspired stitch work and luxe fabrications, the undying allure speaks for itself. For the woman looking to showcase her personal style, while appreciating the thoughtful details of timeless techniques. An aesthetic that embraces our California-based lifestyle but always with a global vision.
It’s the gorgeous details in life that make it beautiful, and that’s what we strive to create with Johnny Was. Embrace the beauty, look beyond and enjoy the journey.\”
Johnny Was has stores all over the country and is expanding rapidly. It is also sold at high-end department stores such as Neiman Marcus.
M2 Boutique, a long-time small business located at 3527 N. Southport will be downsizing their retail space. From the listing:
“829 sq.ft. of CORNER RETAIL/OFFICE space available FOR LEASE in the heart of Lakeview’s bustling Southport Corridor. Widely accepted as one of the North Side’s most vibrant and desirable shopping & entertainment districts, the SoPo Corridor is nestled just a few blocks from Wrigley Field, and its $500M in recent renovations. This space is currently built out as a retail shop. The property sits less than 800′ from the entrance/exit platform of the Southport CTA Brown Line, which gets 3,600+ riders per day (1,137,842/yr). Take advantage of this rare opportunity to capture a corner on one of Chicago’s most celebrated streets. Ideal for omnichannel retailing, standard retail, medical office, or financial services. Triple Net: Tenants pay expenses including taxes. Please do not disturb tenants. Need 48 hours/agent accompanied.”
As you may recall, this transit oriented development approved in 2015 with deliveries planned for Q1 2020. Planning had started back in 2014, and this new development will reside on what is now Galleria Liquors and Rise Sushi. At the time this development was first announced, Galleria Liquors is slated to return to this site, while Rise Sushi was not. Rise Sushi may relocate nearby (hopefully), and their sister restaurant, Shine on Webster in Lincoln Park will remain. You can read more about this development from Tom Tunney’s website, and see the listing here.
