Paperchase Southport Corridor now under construction

It was announced early in 2017 that Paperchase, a UK based upscale stationery store would be coming to Chicago on Southport and the West Loop.  7 months later, Paperchase is now under construction and coming to 3420 N. Southport Avenue, the former Einstein Bagels shop.

Southport Corridor Changes into 2018

You may recall that a new Transit Oriented Development (TOD) has been proposed for 3647 N. Southport Avenue next to CVS. The original renderings have now been revised and listed here on Tom Tunney’s website. Currently, the development is “in discussion”.

Taco Bell Wrigleyville to be demolished, Auto Body Shop & Ticket Resale Shop to Shutter

It’s a sad day for Chalupa fans. Wrigleyville’s Taco Bell will be shutting its doors to make way for a new development. Also on the chopping block is Luis Auto Repair and Box Office Tickets across from Wrigley Field in the middle of the Addison & Clark development.

Capital One Cafe Permits for signs get approved; Opening in the Fall

The Cafe will be approximately 7,500 sq. feet, will offer 3 nooks and 2 meeting rooms for customers, neighborhood and community members/partners to utilize should they need a work or meeting space. The Southport Café is slated to open in a few short months.

Hanna Andersson opens in Chicago’s Southport Corridor this Friday

Hanna Andersson will open its fifth store in Illinois on Friday, July 21 in Chicago’s Southport Corridor. The newest addition to the Hanna family marks its eight-second retail store in the United States.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. to the public at the new store, 3452 N. Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657. Customers are encouraged to get there early since historically lines have been over one hundred people.
Hanna will be providing free gifts to customers throughout the grand opening weekend. On Friday, July 21, the first 500 customers will receive a free pair of long johns. The first 100 customers on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 will receive a free $20 Hanna gift card. Along with free gifts, customers will be able to take advantage of buy one, get one free on all baby and kids sleepwear and 30% off the rest of their purchase (not including the buy one, get one free sleepwear).

Lululemon has announced that it is closing most of its Ivivva stores, including Chicago’s Southport Corridor location on Roscoe. The space is listed for lease online, and it is assumed that Ivivva will close by end of summer. What would you like to see in this space?
