3401 N. Southport Avenue is well under construction where Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors once stood. We have known since the beginning that Galleria Liquors was coming back, but Rise Sushi was not. We have confirmed that Sephora is taking the other retail space, and that the lease is finalized. What do you think about Sephora joining the Southport Corridor?

3401 N. Southport is officially under construction
After years of planning in the works, the buildings that formerly housed Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors have been torn down, and construction has begun on 3401 N. Southport – a Transit Oriented Development. Galleria is scheduled to take one of the retail spots, and rumors are swirling around the ‘Port on the second option. Southport is quickly becoming a 4-story luxury condominium complex with Byline Bank as a first-floor tenant. 3200 N. Southport is an apartment transit oriented development (TOD) with 5 floors and ground level retail (yet announced). Both buildings, along with the new Tied House from Schubas will greatly enhance the southern area of Chicago’s Southport Corridor, which runs all the way north to Irving Park Road.
