We reached out to Madewell and they have confirmed an opening date for Southport’s new store – on or around April 16th, 2021. Madewell will be taking over the former Lou & Grey storefront at 3442 N Southport Avenue.

Pescadero Seafood & Oyster Bar coming to former Fahlstrom’s Fish location

Pescadero Seafood & Oyster Bar, a long-standing Wilmette restaurant will be opening a new location at 1258 W. Belmont Avenue, former location of Fahlstrom’s. A sign recently appeared in the window along with a social media post on Facebook, but no ETA is known at this time. You can take a look at their Wilmette menu here.

Your last look at 3347 N. Southport Avenue

As we reported last year, proposed plans came out on a new TOD development replacing an abandoned building at 3347-49 N. Southport.  As of March, 2020, the development had been approved according to Ald. Tom Tunney\’s website, and this week, construction fencing went up with demolition imminent.  What do you think of this upcoming development?

Sephora Southport Corridor opening October 23, 2020

It is official – the opening date for Sephora Southport Corridor is October 23, 2020 according to their Instagram post. Sephora is also hiring for the new store, and you can see all the job listings here.

Sephora\’s new location is in the former space of Rise and Galleria Liquors at 3401 N. Southport Avenue.
