WGN: Movement Wrigleyville offers yoga, rock climbing and much more

“A new fitness center opened in Wrigleyville last week, offering yoga classes, a climbing wall and a large fitness center.
WGN’s Marcella Raymond gave climbing a shot at the new ‘Movement Wrigleyville’, located steps from Wrigley Field at 1115 W. Addison Street.
The staff at Movement aims to offer guidance in difficult full-body workouts such as rock-climbing and yoga, especially for those just looking to get started.
The location just opened on September 1, and hosts a three-floor facility with one floor dedicated to fitness and group classes.”

There is a “Notre Dame Day at Wrigley” for the Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin
/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/69786308/IMG_4979.0.png)
On Friday, the Chicago Cubs announced that September 24 will be “Notre Dame Day at Wrigley.” That day is the Friday before the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Wisconsin Badgers in a Shamrock Series game at Soldier Field. The first 2000 fans to buy a ticket for the Cubs game on the 24th against the St. Louis Cardinals will receive a special Notre Dame themed Cubs hat from New Era.
The @Cubs just announced “Notre Dame Day at Wrigley” — the first 2,000 fans who buy a ticket to their game on Friday, September 24th vs. @Cardinals will receive the baseball cap below for free.

In a weird (and terrible) way, this reminds me of a 2017 Cubs game against the Atlanta Braves with all of the fans of the Georgia Bulldogs in attendance — who were ready to completely takeover Notre Dame Stadium the next day.
This particular Shamrock Series game is quite different than the usual one we get from Notre Dame. Wisconsin is actually the home team here, but the Badgers will wear special all white uniforms while the Irish will wear their “Chicago but actually Green Bay” uniforms that were unveiled a few weeks ago.

Kudos to Lakeview’s 60613 zip code! This past week this zip code hit 80%+ of at least 1 dose of the Covid-19 vaccine ages 12 and up.

60657 is not far behind and should hit 80%+ soon. Currently as of August 20, 60657’s rate is 79.2% according to the City of Chicago’s Covid dashboard. This would mean Lakeview is one of the most vaccinated areas in the entire country.
Vaccines are available at your local Jewel-Osco, CVS, Walgreens and local health outposts, and most places do not require an appointment.
Out at Wrigley celebrates the 20th anniversary this Sunday
The 20th anniversary of the event will be celebrated Sunday.

From the Chicago Tribune, “Bill Gubrud knew he wanted to approach the Chicago Cubs. As a lifelong Chicago resident, he was a major fan of the baseball team, but didn’t know what their response would be. Gubrud worked in advertising sales for the Chicago Free Press, a now defunct gay newspaper, and wanted to make the Cubs the first professional male sports team to advertise in a gay paper in the country.
