Small fire at Cafe Tola

There was a small fire at Cafe Tola Southport on Thursday, September 23. Thankfully it was not major, and on Friday, Cafe Tola was back open. Support small businesses!

When will M2 Boutique be leaving Southport? And more national retailers coming

New national retailers are coming to the former DavidsTEA, Gearhead spaces as well

M2 has lost their lease, and will vacate their current space “30 days after “new” tenant signs.”

And even more national retailers are coming to Southport including the former DavidsTEA location and Uncle Dan’s/Gearhead space – with “large, complicated build-outs.”

Primrose Southport Corridor: “Small Businesses Make People Happy”

Husband-and-wife team Erik and Leah Thallemer operate Primrose, a locally owned shop that opened in 2019.

On the window of recently opened plant shop The Sill on Roscoe Street, the words “Plants Make People Happy” greet customers in a bold, white font.

Southport’s Sidewalk Sale Today

The sidewalk sales will take over the Southport Avenue and Roscoe Street commercial corridors, encouraging people to support small businesses as they reopen from the pandemic.

Sad news for all M2 Boutique fans. The store has lost their lease and is closing on the Southport Corridor. M2 has been a staple of Southport for years, and will very much be missed.

After 13 WONDERFUL years in this amazing corner space, it is time to change with the changes. I am consolidating and moving into the space next door, so I can focus on more creative, detail oriented, exciting stuff I have been wanting to do.
