Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors to close in July, TOD construction to start late summer at 3401 N. Southport

As you may recall, this transit oriented development approved in 2015 with deliveries planned for Q1 2020. Planning had started back in 2014, and this new development will reside on what is now Galleria Liquors and Rise Sushi. At the time this development was first announced, Galleria Liquors is slated to return to this site, while Rise Sushi was not. Rise Sushi may relocate nearby (hopefully), and their sister restaurant, Shine on Webster in Lincoln Park will remain. 3401-09 N. Southport Avenue TOD Development will start in 2019

As you may recall, this transit oriented development approved in 2015 will be starting construction sometime in 2019, with deliveries planned for Q1 2020. Planning had started back in 2014, and this new development will reside on what is now Galleria Liquors and Rise Sushi. At the time this development was first announced, Galleria Liquors is slated to return to this site, while Rise Sushi was not. An update to the upcoming 3401-09 Transit Oriented Development (TOD)

ICYMI, Rise Sushi and Galleria Liqueurs will be replaced with this mixed-use Transit Oriented Development (TOD). This development was first proposed in 2014 and approved by Tom Tunney and was originally slated to start construction in 2017.We now hear this project will begin in 2020, so you have a few more years to enjoy Rise and Galleria (Galleria will be one of the retailers in this new building, TBD on whether Rise will find a new location).

Warby Parker is rumored to be taking over Paperchase\’s backed out lease at 3420 N. Southport
Schoolyard Tavern under new ownership
TOD development at 3200 N. Southport now coming (Former Flattop Grill space)
TOD development coming to 3647 N. Southport
Rise Sushi and Galleria Liquors will be replaced by this Transit Oriented Development (TOD)
Large-scale mixed-use development coming to 1356 W. Wellington Avenue

Updated: We hear this project will now begin in the second half of 2020.

ICYMI, Rise Sushi and Galleria Liqueurs will be replaced with construction starting sometime in 2018 with this mixed-use Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Rise Sushi currently has a lease until the end of 2017 (but this development was first proposed in 2014 and approved by Tom Tunney). There are two other TOD developments currently coming to Southport. 3647 N. Southport has recently been approved, and 3334 N. Southport is currently under construction.
